  HCI Leader Joins Chicago Firm
  by Mary Ressler | Aug 19, 2013
Gary Collins, Vice President on the Health Care Institute (HCI) leadership team, has joined PFB Architects as principal in the firm’s Chicago office. Collins is a past president of HCI where he created the facility management track for the HealthCare Design Conference the past three years and developed the Green Patient Room. The GPR was a nationally recognized exhibit for three years at 15 conferences with exposure to more than 75,000 attendees and 150 hospitals that demonstrated green materials and technologies and showcased a healing environment based upon evidence-based design.

His marketing efforts lead the design-build win for the $321 million OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital Neuroscience Institute and Bed Tower in Columbus. Collins joins PFB with over three decades of design and marketing experience, including the last seven years with top ranked healthcare design firms Anshen+Allen and NBBJ.

“We look forward to the greater depth of exposure Gary can bring to our growing national healthcare practice. Gary’s desire to be more integral to the entire lifecycle of a project fits well with PFB’s current customer service practice and attention to excellence.” Indicated Thomas C. Jeziorski, PFB Chicago’s recently appointed Managing Partner.

PFB Architects, Inc. has been serving the Southwest and Midwest markets for the past 59 years with offices currently in Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois. PFB has evolved its practice from a smaller local presence to a national practice concentrating on the execution of commercial and institutional projects ranging in size from single commissions, to large master planning, as well as long term care and health facility clients.
