  by Megan Headley | Jan 27, 2017

The Health Care Institute is prepared to exceed the expectations of Healthcare Design Expo & Conference 2017 attendees with the return of its highly popular Facility Management track. The organization is currently accepting presentation submissions for its Facility Management track to be presented at this year’s HCD around the theme “Creating & Maintaining Environments that Exceed Patient Expectations.”

The healthcare building industry’s leading conference is scheduled for November 11-14, 2017, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

HCI’s returning HCD track is annually among the highest rated tracks at the conference due to its inclusion of trend-setting, issue-oriented sessions. Each year, the organization plays an integral role in the conference by hosting multiple educational sessions and networking activities. Presenters in this dedicated track will be part of a team of experts who are recognized as thought leaders in the industry. The more than over 4,500 industry professionals representing an array of countries, backgrounds and industries come to the Healthcare Design Conference to earn continuing education credits, network with peers, and influence the direction of the industry.

Presentation topics should focus on leading-edge issues that might include, and are in no way limited to, the following:

  • The impact of the 2016 election on the ACA and healthcare as we know it.
  • The ongoing evolution of the outpatient Environment of Care.
  • The next phase in retrofits and reutilization of real estate for healthcare.
  • How to navigate the web of compliance from CMS, Joint Commissions, DHHS, and others.
  • Maximizing the use of the design and owner’s teams.
  • Recent case examples.
  • And more.

The deadline for presentation submissions for HCI’s FM track is Friday, February 17, 2017. Completed presentation materials will not be required until September. As of the February 17 deadline, submissions must include topic, speakers, and a brief session outline with learning objectives.
